To check whether your network is being used you can either go to the router's web page and check what devices are connected to it or for the 'big' picture download. Posted By: Dave B. Perhaps they are using a coffee bar or tavernas free WIFI? As Kwacka says your router will tell you.

Posted By: bromerzz The solution to prevent someone sharing your internet is.Very simple. Go into your router and change the wifi ssid and password from the one originally supplied. The thieves will be using the antennae in conjunction with some pretty simple software programme which pairs up your router ssid with one or possibly two password options. It really is simple for them if you have never changed even the router password. It has nothing to do with security software on your devices. If you are a Cyta subscriber it is very - very simple as the serial numbers of the Thomson routers and the passwords for each router are freely available as an app for use on jailbroken phones and iPads.

I suggest you ask them to turn the WI Fi off (they can do that without visiting) and buy yourself a good new router. Thief patch 1.7 download. You just plug it into the back of the primetel box. Why are they rubbish?
I am with Primetel and never had a problem with their router, on 12 meg and when d/l get max d/l wherever we are in the villa. Also use Airsnare and have never had anyone leech of my wifi. The router itself isn't rubbish, but you cannot access it to carry out simple activities like changing security password or turning off wifi. As DJ said, Primetel will turn off the wifi for you, but they make a charge. Yep, knew that, first thing I did when they connected me was to ring them up and change the password:) Posted By: paul1978 lots of software available to hack internet i am afraid.

Wifi Unlocker 2.0 is an application that will help you audit the security of your WiFi networks or recover passwords from other networks. Of course, in theory you should only use it for your own networks, but in practice you may find other uses. Using the application is as simple as hitting the refresh button situated in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and waiting for it to find all the available networks in your area. This can take quite awhile, depending on how many networks are close. Once you have the list, you can select your network (it's important not to select unfamiliar networks, as you could end up committing a crime) and check out its security. If you can see your password, it's probably a good idea to switch it up. This version of the application supports the following modem models: Thomson, Blink, SpeedTouch, O2Wireless, Orange, INFINITUM, BigPond, Otenet, Bbox, DMAX, privat, DLink, Discus, eircom, FASTWEB-1, Alice, WLAN, WLAN, JAZZTEL, YaCom, SKY, TECOM-AH4222, TECOM-AH4021, InfostradaWiFi, TNprivate, CYTA, InterCable, Axtel, and MegaRed.
Wifi Unlocker 2.0 is a tool that you shouldn't take lightly; although it's easy to use and can help you out with your own connection, the consequences of abusing its power could be pretty bad. You know what they say: use at your own risk.
